OUR VISION

FOR ALL LIFE TO BE SUSTAINABLE ON EARTH, the impact of human beings must be addressed. There is a limit to the numbers of people that Earth can support without severely affecting the survival of other species as well as human health and well-being.

Human overpopulation has a highly significant effect on human health

OUR MISSION

AS A GROUP OF CONCERNED DOCTORS: To influence Australians to address the effect that human population numbers has on human health and the sustainability of all life.

OUR VALUES

Accurate information

Reasoned debate

Evidence-based scientific knowledge

DSP's AIM: -CREATING A FAR BETTER WORLD

Nobel laureate Sir Macfarlane Burnet, possibly Australia's greatest scientist, expressed "desperate alarm" because of overpopulation, depletion of natural resources and pollution of our air, water and soil, arguing that urgent corrective measures should be taken.1 Our Group of medical graduates, Doctors for Sustainable Population (DSP) agrees with that concept, believing that to do nothing will cause much misery for our children and grandchildren. Reasoned debate about evidenced-based science, and appropriate remedies could create a far better world.
